When designing Fab, my priority was to create an aesthetic that not only evokes a strong desire to sit at first glance, but also makes the user feel special and comfortable the moment they do.
The character of the design is defined by the wide, curved armrests that dominate the overall silhouette and the strong back structure. In contrast, the slimmer seating surface elevated from the ground gives the product a distinctive identity that stays in memory.
I believe that well-designed products should leave a defining impression in people’s minds. The feeling I was looking for in this sofa was “fabulous” which is why the shortened form, FAB, felt like the right name.
Fab is a modern sofa designed to define the space it inhabits on its own.
